15 - Menu - Cities
Through the "Cities" menu we have access to the database of towns and cities saved in the currently selected program database. During the first start of the program and each time an empty database is opened, the program uploads to the database the list of cities appropriate for the given language version.
1. Adding Cities
Localities are added using the "Add New" button in the "Cities" menu. Once clicked, we can enter the name of the city to be added and the country in which it is located. The selection of the country is of great importance when accounting for per diems. If we do not settle per diems, we can skip the country selection and stay with the default country. Assigning a locality to a country is used by the per diem settlement module to identify the appropriate driver's per diem and flat rate for overnight stays. Also, when entering discs into the database, the program may ask if we want to add a new city. The added city is saved by clicking on "Save selected".
2. Browse and edit cities
We can edit the localities - just change the name of the locality and the country where it is located, and then click on "Save Selected."
3. Removing cities
The localities are removed using the "Delete" button in the "Cities" menu. After clicking, a window will appear where we can confirm the removal of the town from the database. Deletion of cities is possible only if there are no dials saved in the database with the given city as the place of departure/return. Deletion of all cities is available in the "Administration" tab, however, only if no wheelbarrows or digital files have been added to the program.
