11 - Menu - Drivers

1. Appearance of the editor

The driver editor is located in the "Drivers" menu and allows adding new drivers to the database and editing the data of those drivers already in the database.

The editor is built with three components:

  1. A table (grid) presenting the basic data of drivers.

  2. Forms, which contain more detailed data and are used to edit its data.

  3. A section containing buttons for inserting (adding) a new driver and saving the changed data.

In addition, on the table bar we can find information about the number of drivers in the database.

With the table, we can:

  • Quickly change the "Active/Inactive" status of selected drivers,

  • Assign multiple drivers to one company,

  • filter drivers,

  • sort the data.

All changes made to the table require saving them, the "Save" button is used for this.

2. Form's

2.1 Form "General"

On the "General" format, the basic personal data of the driver is filled in.

2.2 Form "Driver card"

The "Driver card" format shows the driver's card data. Cards can be assigned to other drivers.

2.3 Form "Deadlines and expiry dates"

On the "Deadlines and expiry dates" format, deadlines for the driver's work are completed. We can track these deadlines in the "Reminder".

2.4 Form "Other"

On the "Other" form, data on other information related to the driver's work is completed.

2.5 Form "Employment"

On the "Employment" format, the driver's employment data are completed.

3. Adding a new driver to the base

A driver can be added to the database in two ways. We can enter the driver's data manually or import a digital file.

Digital file import

When importing a digital file, the driver and all the data that comes from the file will be added to the database. It is recommended to import the driver file first and then import the tachograph file.

Adding a driver manually

If you want to manually add a driver you should:

  1. Click on the "Add" button

  2. Complete the driver's data

  3. Click on the "Insert" button

Note! To avoid confusion, we recommend adding the driver when importing the digital file. The exception is if the driver uses only vehicles with an analog tachograph, in which case we add the driver manually.

4. Editing and completing driver data

At any time when working with the program, you can go to the editor and change or complete the driver's data. All changes should be saved ("Save" button).

To edit/add data, please:

  1. Display the driver editor

  2. Select the driver whose data you want to edit or complete.

  3. Change the contents of the field or enter new data in the selected field.

    1. To edit alphanumeric data, enter the appropriate text.

    2. To edit the date, select the appropriate date from the calendar or enter the date manually. For some date-related fields, a checkbox must be selected first.

    3. To edit the list fields, you can select a field from the list or enter the data manually. In case of manual completion, the field will be completed only if the entered information is already in the database.

  4. Save the data in the database using the "Save" button

5. Removing the driver

Only the driver who does not have completed data can be removed from the database. In the case of erroneous entry of the driver, you should:

  1. Go to the "Drivers" menu

  2. Select a driver from the list

  3. Click the "Delete" button.
